Make this the year you attend your first (or your tenth) ICON. In addition, the best news is, you do not have to have a title to attend! This Convention has something for everyone, from Trustees to Governors to Lt. Governors to Club Presidents...

I spent the last three days with our new Scholastic representative Angie Oshia in South Dakota. Her number is 314-502-6505. She is located in St Louis , Missouri. I had time to get acquainted with her. She visited four of the five Oasis that  the Watertown Club placed in Watertown and spoke at our club's weekly meeting.

The next day we traveled to meet with Governor Dan in Lead, S.D. to see the Oasis they put in the Boys and Girls Club there. We traveled on to the two Oasis on the Rosebud Reservation and then on Wednesday we went to the Sioux Falls weekly meeting where she spoke with their club members. At both the Watertown and Sioux Falls meeting other club members...

The Convention Committee has been working diligently to make our 2018 convention a memorable one for each of you. Please set aside August 10 -12 to attend the convention at the Willmar Conference Center which was newly remodeled in 2014. The Willmar area has many beautiful lakes for you to enjoy.

We are encouraging each club to send at least one member to the convention. Last year we increased our clubs that had representation at the convention and we would like to do that again this year. Earlier this year we sent out a survey asking for your opinions on the convention and because of that, we have made some changes to try to accommodate your wishes. Please try your best to attend and give us...

High school seniors throughout the Minnesota Dakotas District of Kiwanis are receiving word that have been awarded one of sixty scholarships from the Minnesota Dakotas Kiwanis Education Foundation. A team in each Division evaluated applications from a different Division to make these determinations. The monies for the scholarships comes from the earnings the Foundation funds make each year. I encourage you to help grow the Foundation so that bigger awards can be given each year. Each club is encouraged to become a Century Club by donating at least $100 to the Foundation each year. Donate yourself or honor another member with $100 to become a Vantine Life Fellow or $500 to become a Messer Fellow....
